Sell compliance software to businesses carrying a NIST 800-171 obligation. Independent contractor, commission only, uncapped.

About the role

Miranium AI is looking for a sales representative to own the MiraShield line: compliance software for organizations that hold a defense contract with CUI in it and therefore have to meet NIST SP 800-171. Most of them are five to fifty people, with a staff for whom this is new territory, and they buy the work today as consulting, at consulting prices.

The role covers the full cycle, sourcing, demonstration, pilot, proposal and close, and you keep the account afterward. The product runs end to end in a 45-minute demonstration: intake, a scored gap report, a drafted System Security Plan, a human approving it, an export. You would be selling working software rather than a roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Source and qualify organizations carrying an 800-171 obligation with the plan still to be written, prime contractors, trade groups, and MSPs serving defense
  • Run product demonstrations end to end, independently or alongside a founder
  • Manage the pilot-to-contract path: scoping, proposal, security review, and signature
  • Own the account after close, including renewal and expansion
  • Report pipeline and forecast directly to the founders

Required qualifications

  • Demonstrated success selling compliance, GRC, cybersecurity, or regulated SaaS to businesses, with specific closed deals you can speak to
  • Ability to hold a room containing a CISO, an IT lead, and an owner hearing “800-171” for the first time, and address all three
  • Comfort running a long, consultative sales cycle on commission only
  • Authorized to work in the United States as an independent contractor

Preferred qualifications

  • Working familiarity with CMMC, RMF, FedRAMP, or an ATO process
  • An existing network among defense primes, subcontractors, or the MSPs that serve them
  • Experience selling into organizations where security is handled by general IT or the owner

Who you would sell to: Small and mid-sized defense contractors, and the enterprises that prime them.

Compensation

20% of what a customer you closed pays us in their first year, and 10% of what they pay every year after that, for as long as they stay with us. It is paid on revenue we have actually collected, on a written agreement, and the renewal share keeps paying after the engagement ends: a customer you brought in three years ago is still yours while they are still ours. Pay is commission only: uncapped, in an open territory.

What we provide

  • Working software you can demonstrate, in place of a deck and a roadmap
  • A founder on every call that needs one, technical questions get answered in the room
  • Pricing, scoping and proposal support; we write the SOW
  • Commission paid on collected revenue, on a written agreement, with the renewal tail surviving the end of the engagement
